I'm not sure if this it's because it was a test site but I had issues loading pages multiple times. It would hang on page loading with a spinner of some sort. I would add a page and it wouldn't show up in the menu creation options until I left the menu creation and went back in.

Getting familiar with how everything fits together didn't take much time. Seems intuitive. Adding inventory with different options seemed a breeze as well.

It might be useful to have a walkthrough of the administration section when you load it for the first time to get a feel for the layout.

Though you don't need to be tech savvy to be able to create a site it certainly helps to have some knowledge of how to manage your content for themes as well as your inventory. Some people may have a harder time figuring how out to sell their first product on Shopify and going through this process helped point out certain road blocks that some may have.

It's quite easy to create a store with Shopify and a bit more work to customize it. You can be up and running within a day if you had all of the media required to start your site which is quite amazing!
